First Aid Training / CPR
Saturday, April 19, 2008

Several members of the Wildwood community have voiced an interest in taking the First Aid -Standard CPR Basic Rescuer course. Anyone of any age can benefit from a few hours spent obtaining the necessary knowledge required to help save a life. The need for certified and skilled individuals is so great that the CBE has implemented a rule this year that requires at least one certified person be present on all field trips. With enough interest from community members we can bring these courses right here to our community.

We have arranged for a Basic First Aid Course on Saturday, April 19, 2008, to be held at the Community Hall. The course will run from 8:30am to 3:30pm and will cost $70+GST = $73.50. We need at least 15 people to hold the course and space is limited so if you are interested, please register early to ensure your spot and that we can proceed with the course. Registration is confirmed with non-refundable payment (unless the course is cancelled due to lack of enrollment), as we need to pre-order the materials for the course.

The course will cover Basic First Aid (including adult, child and infant CPR) and the use of Automatic External Defibrilator's (AED's), found in many public facilities (ie. hockey rinks, shopping centres, movie theatres, airports, etc).

For more information or to register, please text Mara Riordon at 836-3383 or email the webmaster at webmaster@wildwoodcommunity.com. Registration is open until noon on April 2, 2008.
